Hunger is the fourth and final installment of the Bear Medicine Initiation series. It begins with a steady, insistent knocking at the cave door. The dreamy voices of the ancestors are suddenly awake, dancing around the fire, conjuring the material realm through their famished wails and distant chanting. There is contemplation, a moment of pause before gathering the strength to emerge into the light.
Spiral Muse creates music devoted to the awe inspiring power of the Sacred Mother. We write and produce songs of praise, protest and healing, centering around Goddess and women’s lived experiences. The Bear Medicine Series is a solo project by Spiral Muse singer, songwriter, drummer and guitarist Dionne Kohler whose channeled voices and rhythms invite us into different dimensions of consciousness.
