If you do not say what is in your heart,
who will speak for you?
If your mind is trapped in cultural conditioning,
who will speak for you?
If your body is hostage to proscribed roles,
who will speak for you?
If your soul has been usurped by religions
that do not see your sacredness,
who will speak for you?
Ask yourself: “Who does that serve?”
Open your mouth.
Speak your truth.
Say what they defy you to say.
Unchain your tongue from
centuries of imprisonment.
Free the long-buried beliefs
of your great-great-great grandmothers
the ones who knew what so many have forgotten,
that we are all connected to all that is,
that our roots run deep into the soil of Mother Earth,
that there is another way to live, to be
without wars, without cruelty,
where compassion reigns and justice prevails.
They knew that heaven is not a place in the sky
not a reward for those who obey the dogmas
that silence the ancient truths.
Believe the certainties that reside in your bones.
Trust the knowledge that flows in your blood.
Embrace the love that lives in your cells.
Speak as you have never spoken before.
Take back your power to name yourself.
Now. Today. Tomorrow. Every day.
