You have found it, sister
Your scattered powers reclaimed Concentrated
In the silver waves of water Your throat
Sends in hands that make the signs, the songs Silver trumpet shouts in open field
Your voice
A flower waiting in peace at the river’s bank Released
The noose from round your neck.
Your voice, no longer the small whispers Of leaves tossed in summer’s breeze.
Is the howl of the whirlwind
Recovered
From the secret pockets of men Who thought it theirs.
You are Sheba magnificent Ethiopian Queen of the golden rings
Rings of magic
Rings speaking wisdom.
This time you can keep the golden ring Lending it to him from time to time You need not be denied your powers To keep Solomon
If Solomon is truly wise
He will not deny Sheba in him.
