(Poem & Photography) Dove Song by Sara Wright

Photography by Sara Wright

I heard

soft cooing

not long

after dawn.

Spring calls

to a sun burst.

Cracked ice

melts,

freezes

at night.

Even

white moon

opens

her sky door

to listen.

Earth’s

wilderness

symphony

is a gift.

  Pink

and gray doves

 chant

mourning

songs

to luminous

light.
