(Poem) What if by Mary Saracino

What if it’s not about who you know

or don’t know

what you know, or don’t know

how much money you have

or don’t have

if you believe in god

or not

what if it’s about

singing with the birds

listening to the trees

blessing the plants and all creatures

great and small

daydreaming with the clouds

gazing at the stars

dancing under the moon

what if it’s about

kindness, compassion, mercy

what, if in the end,

it’s all just about love
