(Video) The Dreaming Tree of Life Sisterhood Daily Meditation by Shekhina Weaver

Our theme this third Moon after Winter Solstice is:

The rape of Wild Earth Life – the Triple Goddess, the Maiden, Mother and Crone
This rape/war has many aspects: the use of nuclear energy/weapons, fossil fuels, global warming, deforestation, pesticides/all kind of poisons, biotechnology/GMO/hybridization, consumerism (taking more from the Earth than we need), buildings/roads/towns/ that do not blend with the natural Beauty of the Earth, movements and sounds that are not in alignment with the silence and natural soundscape of the Earth, technology that is in one way or another destructive, animal experimentation/sexual abuse, ill treatment of animals as such, abusing animals for sport/circus, the separation of domesticated animal mothers and their offspring etc. etc.

Later this year, we will focus directly on some of these ways to attack the Earth, but this third Moon we focus on raising our consciousness to how all-encompassing the attack on Wild Earth-Life is and on holding the intention/pray for that we, humanity, heal our relationship to the Triple Goddess – all wild self-reliant, self-unfolding Being.

(The photos are meant both as a way to celebrate the Triple Goddess – the maiden, mother, crone principle that is everywhere in nature and to point at some of the ways Wild Earth-Life is under attack by patriarchy)

MEDITATION MARCH 4

We start our meditation by contemplating the rape of/war against the Triple Goddess as a Whole but especially focus on the Maiden aspect – the rape of/war against all new beginnings, seeds, seedlings, animal and human offspring and their connection to their mothers – focus on how the Maiden aspect of Wild Earth-Life is under attack by the patriarchal will to power-over Life.

If we feel like it, we can also contemplate the parallels there are between how the maiden aspect in nature is treated and how the maiden aspect of our wild Life-affirming souls and girls and boys are treated by patriarchy.

After doing this for some minutes we, for the rest of the meditation, hold the intention/pray/imagine that we, humanity, choose to heal our relationship to all Wild Earth Life, the Triple Goddess and choose to heal ourselves collectively and personally by identifying with our own Wild Life-affirming souls.

GLOBAL MEDITATION MARCH 11

We contemplate for some minutes the rape of/war against the Triple Goddess as a Whole, but especially focus on the Mother aspect – on the rape of/war against all wild manifestation of the wild, natural flowering/maturity/fullness processes, birthgiving, animal and human mothers and mothering – the rape of/war against the Earth as Mother of All, giver of Life and nourishment including the air, water, earth and fire elements.

If we feel like it, we can also contemplate the parallels there are between how the mother aspect in nature is treated and how the mother aspect of our wild Life-affirming souls and the mothers of children are treated by patriarchy.

Then for the rest of the meditation, we hold the intention/pray/imagine/dream/envision that we, humanity, choose to heal our relationship to all Wild Earth Life, the Triple Goddess and choose to heal ourselves collectively and personally by identifying with our own Wild Life-affirming souls.

GLOBAL MEDITATION MARCH 18

We contemplate for some minutes the rape of/war against the Triple Goddess as a Whole but especially focus on the Crone aspect – the rape of/war against all aging, give-away, letting go and decay processes, rest phases and all processes of becoming while resting.
If we feel like it, we can also contemplate the parallels there are between how the crone aspect in nature is treated and how the crone aspect of our wild Life-affirming souls and the elders are treated by patriarchy.

Then for the rest of the meditation, we hold the intention, pray, imagine, dream and envision that we, humanity, choose to heal our relationship to all Wild Earth Life, the Triple Goddess and choose to heal ourselves collectively and personally by identifying with our own Wild Life-affirming souls.

GLOBAL MEDITATION MARCH 26

We contemplate for some minutes how we, humanity, can heal our relationship to the Triple Goddess – to all Wild Earth Life – and make our collective life-expression into a celebration of the Wild Earth-Life that we are ourselves a part of.

Then, for the rest of the meditation, we hold the intention, pray, imagine, dream and envision that we, humanity, choose to do this while we focus on feeling the vibration of love and gratitude for the all Wild Earth-Life – the Triple Goddess in our hearts.

  1. I contemplate these various aspects on a daily basis and struggle to keep myself in some kind of balance by being with nature and allowing her to be my Muse…. The most beautiful painting that precedes this moving video reminds me of a painting I did about 30 years ago in which a tree’s roots were curling in on themselves and not allowed to grow naturally. I see this same image on the left side of this painting. In my life, the image which repeats in so many mediums in women’s art has become iconic (for me) as an image of repression, our slavery to a system that wants to destroy us as women, as animals, as sensitive men, a system whose penchant for global destruction has reached the point of no return. We who did not choose this way of being will still take the consequences… Unfortunately I no longer believe “love” will make the difference and oh, how much I wish I did.
