(Art) Kannon by Lydia Ruyle

Kannon

Kannon is one of the most widely worshipped divinities in both ancient and modern times. Most scholars agree that Kannon worship began in India around the 1st or 2nd century CE, then spread to Asia reaching Japan in the late 6th century CE by way of Korea and China. Kannon personifies the Great Mother of compassion.

  1. She is beautiful, Lydia. I love how you’ve placed her against a rainbow backdrop. She has compassion for all beings equally.
